Whitesboro- Patrick K. Conley, 73, of Clinton St., formerly of Erwin St. Boonville, passed away on December 11, 2023, at Wynn Hospital, Utica.
Affectionately known as Pat, he was born in Constableville, on October 29, 1950, a son of Michael James “Jim” and Elizabeth Mae “Betty” Conley. Pat grew up on Erwin St., Boonville and graduated from Boonville Central School with the Class of 1969. Thereafter, he furthered his education, attending college in Utica and afterwards Pat was first employed at Kodak of Rochester.
On July 12, 1976, Patrick was united in marriage with Diane Kowalik in West Leyden. Thereafter the couple lived on Erwin St.
In the later 1970’s he began his employment as a member of the track worker gang during the reconstruction of the Adirondack Railroad, from Remsen to Lake Placid, in preparation for the 1980 Winter Olympics, in Lake Placid. He continued to work for the railroad until after the Olympics, when the railroad closed. Following his employment on the railroad, Pat was employed for several years in the cabinet and bed department of Ethan Allen Furniture Company, Boonville. Later he relocated to Whitesboro and was employed as a custodian at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, Utica.
Pat was a member and Past Commander of Charles J. Love Post Sons of the American Legion, Boonville and he greatly enjoyed a wide variety of sports and music.
He is survived by his children; Kristin (David) Fey, and granddaughter, Jordan Case, all of Boonville, Naomi (Jim) Conley, Sylvan Beach; Ryan P. (Stephanie) Conley and their children, Callan and Kevin, all of North Kingstown, RI and Kari (Jim) Millson and their children, Everly and Layla, Whitesboro; his siblings, Kathy Conley, Alder Creek and her twin brother, Michael Conley, Boonville and Colleen (Paul) Lupia, Simsbury, CT and many nieces and nephews. Pat was predeceased by his parents, Jim and Betty Conley and by two brothers, Kevin and Tim Conley.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of his life, on Saturday, December 16, 2023, from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. and after 2:00 P.M. his family will move into the bar area, all at Charles J. Love Post American Legion, East Schuyler St. Boonville. There will be no other calling hours or services. Memorial contributions may be made to The Stevens Swan Humane Society, 5664 Horatio Street, Utica, NY 13502. Pat’s arrangements are in care of Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. Boonville.
Contributions of food may be taken to the Love Post American Legion, Boonville, on Friday from 3:00 – 9:00 P.M. and on Saturday, from 10:30 A.M. to 12 Noon.
