Boonville - Pamela J. Dolan, 54, passed away November 29, 2009 at Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown while surrounded by her children and family following a heroic battle with cancer. Born on July 11, 1955 at the former Sunset Maternity Hospital in Constableville, she was the daughter of Robert and Sophie (Czajka) Rocker. Pam grew up in Port Leyden, and graduated from South Lewis High School with the Class of 1973. She was united in marriage with William J. Dolan on June 15, 1974 in Turin. Pam will be remembered for her fun-loving personality that showed through her smile and carefree young spirit. She was a young-hearted, caring person who touched many lives. Her sense of humor was like no other. She loved making people laugh and feel welcomed in any situation, and always greeted customers with a smile and friendly "hello". Pam was a very passionate and proud mother and grandmother who greatly enjoyed spending time with her family, especially camping with her children during the summer months. She was an avid reader and enjoyed sewing. Her loving spirit and caring attitude carries on in her children. Pam is survived by her husband, William J. Dolan, Sr. of Lowville; a daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Wayne Kent of Port Leyden; three sons, William Jr. and his wife Joanne (Hayes) of Lyons Falls, Robert and his partner Thomas Gerace of Boonville, and Edward and his companion, Kerry Weber, of Boonville; two grandchildren, Derek Dolan and Mackenzie Kent; and a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Donna Rocker of Glenfield. Pam was predeceased by her parents Robert in 1989 and Sophie in 2002, in addition to several aunts and uncles. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc., 143 Schuyler Street in Boonville where the Reverend Donald H. Karlen, former pastor of St. Josephï¿(TM)s Church will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Josephï¿(TM)s Cemetery, Boonville. Calling hours are Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 at the funeral home. Pamï¿(TM)s family wishes to express a heartfelt thank you to the Lewis County General Hospital second floor nursing staff and care providers, and the Samaritan Medical Center team of the PCU, ICU and third floor nursing staff for their wonderful care and attention to their mother in her last days. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a memorial fund in Pamelaï¿(TM)s name in care of her daughter Heather to assist in covering recent medical expenses at Community Bank, N.A., 4116 Center Street, Lyons Falls, NY 13368.
