Olga Fey Kelley

Reading, PA - Olga Kelley, 92, formerly of West Leyden, entered into heavenly rest on March 15, 2009 at the Wyomissing Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Reading. Mrs. Kelley was born in West Leyden on May 30, 1916 to Lewis and Crescentia Gassner Fey. Her great-grandfather, Clemens Fey, and his brother, Ludwig, led the construction of St. Mary's of Prussian Settlement Catholic Church in West Leyden, the site of the present St. Mary's Cemetery. Olga was united in marriage with Dr. Neil Kelley, a Rome native and WW II veteran, on April 28, 1945 at St. Mary's Church in West Leyden. For fifty years the couple made their home in Milford, NH, where Dr. Kelley practiced optometry. The Kelleys spent part of every summer at the family cabin in Swancott Mills, where they delighted in reunions with family and friends from near and far. In 2004 they moved to Reading to be nearer their daughters. While in Milford, Mrs. Kelley was active in St. Patrick's parish. She also enjoyed gardening, sewing, and genealogy. She was was an excellent letter writer who faithfully corresponded with many people for over 65 years. Mrs. Kelley is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Christiane and Stanley Riveles of Arlington, VA, and Claire and Geoffrey Hinkle of Reading, PA; six grandchildren, Maria Kulianin of West Hartford, CT, Crescentia, Laura, Joseph and Nathaniel Hinkle, all of Reading, and Simon Riveles of New York, NY; two sisters-in-law, Margot Fey of Syracuse, and Angela Fey of Liverpool; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mrs. Kelley was predeceased by her husband in 2005, and by three brothers and one sister-in-law, Urban, Raymond, and Vincent and Marjorie. Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Nativity Church, West Leyden, where the Reverend Lawrence Marullo, pastor, will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, West Leyden. Calling hours are Friday 5-8 p.m. at the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc., 143 Schuyler Street, Boonville.
