Boonville - Nathan J. Biro, 42, of State Route 12D, husband of Samantha, passed away on Friday, March 19, 2021 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare Facility, New Hartford, following complications of a stroke. Nathan was born in Lowville on November 12, 1978 a son of Timothy and Jeriann Lawrence Biro. He was raised in Pennysettlement, graduating from South Lewis High School with the Class of 1998. For several years Nathan was a carpenter for Biro Contracting, working alongside his father in home and building construction. Through the years he was also employed at Colwell's Farm Market, Glenfield, Tractor Supply, Boonville, Kraft Foods, Lowville and most recently Bailey Lumber Co., Boonville. Nathan was formerly married to Brandi Hoffman and they share a son Isaiah James Biro. On August 25, 2018, Nathan was married to Samantha Bowman on the covered bridge at Erwin Park in Boonville. Nathan enjoyed doing woodcrafts with his aunt Vaughn Post, and making box calls for turkey hunting. He was an avid sportsman, spending time in the woods deer and turkey hunting, and also fishing. This was a sport in which he enjoyed making many memories with family and friends. Besides his wife Samantha, Nathan is survived by his children: Isaiah Biro, Lowville, and Timothy, Lilly, and Nevaeh Biro, all at home. Together the couple were joyfully anticipating the birth of their daughter Shelby in July. Nathan is also survived by his step-children: Adam Griffin and Alyssa Weiler; his parents Timothy and Jeriann Biro, Pennysettlement, siblings: Tim (Jennie) Biro, Jennifer (Curt) Cihocki, and John Biro (Jess Grover), all of Lyonsdale; nieces and nephews: Skyler and Samantha Biro, and Joseph and Caitlyn Cihocki; his mother-in-law: Jean Bowman (Rick Coe), sisters-in-law: Paula Bowman (Jeff Kerr), Julie (Kevin) Golden, and Cathy Duggar (Dusty), and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents John and Geraldine Lawrence, paternal grandparents Stephen and Dorothy Biro, and a step-grandfather Floyd Smith. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 26 at 11:00 am at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Friday, May 14, 2021, at 3:30 P.M. at Pennysettlement Cemetery, Town of Lyonsdale. Memorial contributions may be directed to a go fund me page being set up by his family to establish a trust fund for his children.
