Boonville - Nancy J. Sosnowski, 64, formerly of Potato Hill Road, widow of Stanley J. Sosnowski, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2006, at St. Lukeï¿(TM)s Hospital, New Hartford, after a long illness. She had resided at Sunset Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Boonville, since July 2003. Nancy was born June 19, 1941, a daughter of Willis and Jean Flannery Peck, in Rome, where she attended school. She had been employed at G.E. in Syracuse and Utica, and later at Revere Copper & Brass, Rome. On August 3, 1968 she was united in marriage with Stanley J. Sosnowski, and the couple resided on Potato Hill Road. Mr. Sosnowski died June 24, 1991. She was a member of St. Josephï¿(TM)s Church, Boonville. Nancy loved spending quality time with her grandchildren. She greatly enjoyed crafts, working with her hands, and participating in the activities at Sunset, especially trivia. She is survived by one son: Aaron J. Sosnowski of Boonville; two daughters: Aimee and husband Tim Shew, and Lisa and husband Brian Hill, all of Remsen; three grandchildren: Eric, Brittany, and Morgan Shew; two sisters: Mrs. Ed (Pam) Palinski of Rome, and Deborah King of Cartersville, GA; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service for Mrs. Sosnowski will be at 10:30 am Monday at the Trainor Funeral Home, 143 Schuyler St., Boonville, with Rev. Donald H. Karlen officiating. Interment will follow in St. Josephï¿(TM)s Cemetery, Boonville. Calling hours will be from 3 to 6 pm Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to either the Boonville Fire Co. Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box 164, Boonville, or to the Sunset Nursing & Rehab. Ctr. Resident Activities Fund, 232 Academy St, Boonville, NY 13309. Nancyï¿(TM)s family extends a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Sunset, especially the B-wing staff.
