Old Forge - Myrna Lindsay Hall, 88, of Middle Branch Road, a lifelong resident of Old Forge, passed away in the comfort of her home on Tuesday, November 24, 2020. Myrna was born on August 1, 1932, a daughter of Joseph E. and Ruth Hoch Lindsay, and received her education at Town of Webb schools. Following her education she was united in marriage with Wilfred Hall and the couple settled in Old Forge where they raised their family. Through the years Myrna was the bookkeeper for Hall & Lindsay Construction, Old Forge Construction, and Olympic Construction, all companies operated by her husband in the construction of commercial property, golf courses, and the infrastructure leading up to the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid. In later years the couple was divorced. For a time Myrna also owned and operated Kings Restaurant of Old Forge. She loved cooking and will fondly be remembered for her talents in the kitchen. Myrna cherished her Old Forge community and also enjoyed volunteering at various area organizations. She is survived by her daughters: Joan E. Tormey (Anthony), Old Forge, and Susan H. Beckingham, Canandaigua, NY. On March 27, 2015, she was predeceased by her son Scott Hall. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Karl (Nia) Tormey, Old Forge, Jeffrey Beckingham, Shane Beckingham and Jennifer, both of Spencerport, NY, Whitney Beckingham, Kent, NY, Great-Grandchildren: Cole and Elianna Tormey, Austin and Parker Beckingham, and Dillon and Devin Derosia, and a sister Judith Chapman, Rock Spring, Wyoming. Services were held privately at the convenience of her family. Arrangements are in care of the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc., 143 Schuyler St. Boonville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Old Forge Fire Dept. or to Old Forge Ambulance Fund.
