Mollie L. Oï¿(TM)Brien, 49, of West Main St., passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2007, at St. Lukeï¿(TM)s Memorial Hospital, New Hartford. A native and life long resident of Constableville, Mollie was born on January 28, 1958, a daughter of Jeanne Marie Powell Oï¿(TM)Brien, and the late Stuart J. Oï¿(TM)Brien. She attended school in Constableville, and graduated from South Lewis Central High School in Turin, with the Class of 1976. After that she attended Mohawk Valley Community College, Utica, where she studied Laboratory Technology, graduating in 1981, with an Associates Degree in Applied Science. For twenty five years she was employed as a Star Route Mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, working from the Lyons Falls Post Office, and for twenty five years, including the present time, Mollie was employed as a Bar Tender at the Alpine Restaurant of Constableville. She was a member of St. Maryï¿(TM)s Church, Constableville, and a member of Constableville Volunteer Fire Department. Mollie was an avid bowler, and for many years she bowled in Constableville, and in Boonville, on the Alpine Restaurant Bowling Team. She possessed a great love and affection for animals, and she loved the out doors. She greatly enjoyed traveling and had toured Ireland, Hawaii, Alaska, and Nova Scotia. Mollie will be fondly remembered by her many friends who treasured her Irish Wit and kindness to all. In addition to her mother, Jeanne Marie Oï¿(TM)Brien, Constableville, Mollie is survived by two uncles, Raymond (Red) Powell, and his family, Osceola, Thomas Oï¿(TM)Brien, and his family, Constableville, an Aunt and her family, Joanne Oï¿(TM)Brien, Oneida. She was predeceased by her father, Stuart J. Oï¿(TM)Brien, on August 22, 1971, and by her uncle Robert Oï¿(TM)Brien. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Maryï¿(TM)s Church, Constableville, where Rev. Lawrence Marullo, pastor will officiate. A private interment at the convenience of the family will be in St. Patrickï¿(TM)s Cemetery, Constableville. There are no calling hours. Flowers are gratefully declined; however, memorial contributions may be made to Constableville Volunteer Fire Co. P.O. Box 438, Constableville, NY 13325, or to Lewis Co.
