Boonville- Mildred A. Kirk, 94, widow of Lawrence and former resident of Belle Isles Place, Boonville, West St. Constableville, before moving to State Rt. 46, Boonville, passed away at Sunset Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Boonville, when her Lord and Savior, Jesus, called Mildred home on All Saints, Day, Sunday, November 1, 2020. Mildred was born in Rahway, New Jersey, on February 8, 1926, a daughter of Walter C. and Margaret Pierre. She grew up in the Rome area, and received her education at Camden Central School. On November 27, 1948, Mildred was united in marriage with Lawrence H. (Larry) Kirk, at St. Peter's Church, Rome. Afterwards the couple built a home on Delta Lake, where they lived until moving to Belle Isle Place, Boonville, in 1974. Mr. Kirk who was a veteran of WWII, and a prominent home builder and carpenter throughout the Boonville area, passed away on July 18, 2002. For fifteen years thereafter, Mildred made her home in Constableville, with her son and daughter in law, Lawrence, Jr. and his wife, Charleen (Croneiser) Kirk. After her son, Lawrence passed away on June 3, 2014 and her daughter in law, Charlene passed away in May, 2017, Mildred moved to Rt. 46, Boonville, where she had since made her home with her niece and nephew, Patsy and Nelson Bowen. Mrs. Kirk was a devout Catholic who attended St. Joseph's Church, Boonville, and while living in Constableville, Mildred attended St. Mary's Church, before returning to St. Joseph's Church, Boonville. For several years she attended the Abiding Love Prayer Group and also taught religious education classes in the public schools. For many years she served as a volunteer at Sunset Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Mildred greatly loved her family and extended family and greatly enjoyed spending all of the holidays and birthdays with the Kirk and Williamson families at the Kirk family camp. Amongst many, Mildred cherished four special friends; Robert Hammond, Lois Fey and Martha Faber and Helen Williamson, who predeceased her in 2013. Mildred is survived by her grandchildren; Lisa (Chris) Carver, Ryan L. Kirk, Matthew J. (Niki) Kirk, Aaron D. Kirk and Stephanie and great grandchildren; Logan Carver, Hallie Carver, Madelynn Kirk and Torrie Kirk. Her Mass of Christian Burial will celebrated on Monday, November 9, 2020 at 11:30 A.M. by Rev. Matthew Lyons at St. Joseph's Church, Boonville. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Boonville. Calling hours are Monday from 9 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville.
