Mary Lou (Weiler) Jenks, 71, of 115 South St., a former long time resident of Lewis Road, passed away at her home on Wednesday, January 16, 2008. A native of Fish Creek, Mary Lou was born on March 16, 1936, a daughter of Henry and Beatrice Burke Weiler. She grew up on her family's farm in the vicinity of West Leyden. She graduated from West Leyden Central School with the Class of 1954. After that she was employed as a waitress at the former Regina's Coffee Shop in Boonville. For twenty years until her retirement in 1995, Mary Lou was employed as a Dietary Aid at Sunset Nursing Home, Boonville. Mary Lou was united in marriage with Robert W. Jenks, on November 24, 1956, at St. Mary's Church, West Leyden. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Boonville, and she enjoyed raising flowers in her gardens, and pursuing the hobby of bird watching. Her greatest enjoyment in her life was raising her children, and loving and watching her grandchildren, and great grandchildren grow. In addition to her husband, Robert, Boonville, Mary Lou is survived by four daughters: Robin C. Jenks and partner A.M. Dillon, Putney, Vt., Shelly and husband, John Pfeiffer, Roxanne and husband, David Botsford, both of Boonville, Renee L and husband, Joe Scheve, Port Leyden, one son: Craig A. Jenks, and wife, Tammy. She was predeceased by two sons: Kevin S. Jenks, in 1995, and Lonny R. Jenks, in 2006. She is also survived by eight grandchildren: Ryan, Robert and Jenna Pfeiffer, Shannon and Bradley Sullivan, Desirae Jenks, Andrew and Sage Scheve, two great grandsons: Owen and Aiden Highers, three sisters: Carol Cavanaugh, and Charles, Delta, Audrey and Karl Matt, Lee Center, Ginger and Arnold Smith, Lee Center. She was predeceased by one sister, Patsy Belius. Her Funeral will be Monday at at the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc., 143 Schuyler St. and at at St. Joseph's Church, both in Boonville, where Rev. Fr. Donald H. Karlen, pastor will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial. Calling hours are Sunday 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Boonville Fire Co.
