Lyons Falls - Mary L. Tuttle, 80, of Center Street, formerly of the Odett Road in Glenfield, passed away while surrounded by the care of her loving family on Saturday, September 26, 2009 at Lewis County General Hospital in Lowville. Mary was born in Boonville on October 15, 1928 to Leo and Minnie Clemons Anna. Most of her younger life was lived in the Boonville area, where she attended high school. On August 18, 1945, Mary was united in marriage with Norris B. Tuttle in Collinsville, at the home of her sister-in-law. For more than thirty years the couple lived on Old Route 12 in Remsen, where her husband was employed as a truck driver for Williams Oil Company. The couple moved to Glenfield after Mr. Tuttle retired. He passed away on May 5, 1994. Mary attended the Greig United Methodist Church, and enjoyed knitting and wood carving. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Norris R. and Donna Tuttle of Glenfield, and David A. and Susan Tuttle of Cleveland, NY; a daughter and son-in-law, Denise and DeForest Flansburg of Constableville; seven grandchildren, Scott M. and Theresa Michelle Tuttle, Martha S. Kohler, Melissa L. Gleason, DeForest "Jason" Flansburg, Benjamin M. Flansburg and Matthew B. Flansburg; eight great- grandchildren, Autumn, Brett, Dakota, Brianna, Marisa, Tyler, Nicholas and Benjamin, Jr.; a sister, Myrtle Darrow of Middleville; a brother, Earl Anna of Newport; and a sister-in- law, Flora Kohler of Hawkinsville. She was predeceased by a grandson, Robert Michael Flansburg, on September 2, 1990, a brother, Frank Anna, and two sisters, Ruth Asaro and Leola Snyder. Her funeral will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc., 143 Schuyler Street, Boonville, where the Reverend Billie Jean Melton, pastor of South Lewis Methodist Churches will officiate. Interment will be in Wildwood Cemetery in Lyons Falls. Calling hours are Tuesday 3-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lyons Falls Fire Company Ambulance Fund.
