Mary L. Lallier

July 20, 1928 — February 3, 2018

Denley- Mary L. Lallier, 89, a native and lifelong resident of Denley, passed away in the comfort on her home on Saturday, February 3, 2018. Mary was born on July 20, 1928, a daughter of Walter F. and Florence Hathaway Van Buskirk. She grew up on Rt. 12 and attended Denley Rural School, before graduating from Port Leyden High School, with the Class of 1947. On November 29, 1947, at St. Josephs Church, Boonville, Mary was united in marriage with the love of her life, Richard Dick Lallier. This was a blessed and loving union which endured for 48 years until Mr. Dick passed away on May 15, 1995. Mary was employed as bookkeeper and office manager for her husbands excavating business and she was also employed on the cafeteria staff at Adirondack Central School, Boonville, and lastly for several years in the housekeeping department at Sunset Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Boonville. She was a member of St. Josephs Church, Boonville, the Country Cousins, Red Hatters, the Boonville Home Makers Club and she greatly enjoyed a wide range of craft projects. For many years, Mary served as leader of the Sugar River 4-H Club of Talcottville. Mary greatly loved her children and family; she is survived by three daughters, Belinda Flansburg, Yvette M. Lallier, and Theresa Lallier, all of Boonville. She was predeceased by a son, Richard Ricky Lallier, May 25, 2007. Also surviving are grandchildren; Jeremy J. Flansburg, Boonville, Joshua J. (Bonnie) Flansburg, Lowville, Melissa Lallier and John Lallier, both Boonville; three great grandchildren, Elijah, Jonah and Emma Flansburg; one sister, Dorothy Weber, Port Leyden, and a daughter in law, Shelly Lallier, Boonville. Mary was predeceased by a son in law, Gerald A. Flansburg and by her siblings; Shirley, Ralph, Edward, Frances Fox and Nancy Farr. Her Funeral will be Thursday at 3:00 P.M. at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville, where Rev. Thomas A. Ward. Pastor of Christ Our Hope Parish, Boonville will officiate. Interment will be in St. Josephs Cemetery, Boonville. Calling hours are Thursday from 11 A.M. until 3:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Ambulance Fund, P.O Box 652, Port Leyden, NY 13433.
