~~Forestport - Martha G. Roberts, 72, of River Road, wife of Michael D., passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2017 in the comfort of her home while under the loving care of her family and Hospice. Martha was born on September 1, 1945 in Utica, a daughter of George C. and Elvira Rostiser Fallon. She grew up in Holland Patent on Miller Road, and received her education at Holland Patent Central School. For a time Martha lived in the Bareneveld and Steuben area before moving to Remsen. For 16 years she was employed as a waitress at O.K. Corral, Remsen, before her employment with Sunset Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Boonville, where she was employed as a nurses aide. Above all else Martha enjoyed her role as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. On August 13, 1995 Martha was united in marriage with Michael D. Roberts in Remsen. Together the couple made their home on River Road in Forestport. Martha enjoyed working on jig-saw puzzles as well as word puzzles. She found great enjoyment attending jamborees and dancing at her backyard BBQs. Besides her husband Michael, Martha is survived by her children: Robin Bates, Rome, Debbie (John) Sege, Remsen, and Daniel Skip Edick, Boonville; seven grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters: Edward Davis, Howard Davis, Geraldine Fallon, Lester Fallon, Betty Jane Jakubowski, Ruth Duheme, Wayne Fallon, and twins Gerald and George Fallon. She was predeceased by her sister Betty Potter. In keeping with Marthas wishes she will be cremated. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Tuesday, October 3, from 2:00 - 4:00 pm at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Harland J. Hennessey VFW Post #5538, 108 Park Ave. Boonville, NY 13309.
