Marion M. (Sasenbury) Perry, 80, of Vary Road, wife of Frank H. Perry, passed away Saturday, January 20, 2007, at Rome Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Mrs. Perry had resided at Sunset Nursing Home, Boonville, for the past five years. Marion was born March 1, 1926 at the Sasenbury Homestead Farm, Ava, a daughter of Arthur and Bertha Joslin Sasenbury. She grew up on her familyï¿(TM)s farm in East Ava and attended Boonville High School. On October 26, 1951 she was united in marriage with Frank H. Perry at the First Presbyterian Church, Rome. For a time the couple lived in Durhamville, moving to their present home on the Vary Road in 1955. She was of the Methodist faith. Mrs. Perry loved fishing, was an avid reader, and enjoyed cake baking and decorating, and gardening. In addition to her husband, Frank, she is survived by two daughters: Mrs. Lynn (Sheila) Traxel, and Sandra Adsit, all of Ava; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister: Myrtle DeBonza of Rome; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four sisters: Nellie Owens, Frances Dahn, Dorothy Satterly, and Jennie A. Sasenbury; and nine brothers: Arthur Jr., Elmer L., Clarence W., Henry A., Newton W., Raymond E., Donald D., James L. and Karl V. Sasenbury. The funeral service for Mrs. Perry will be at 11 am Tuesday at the Trainor Funeral Home, 143 Schuyler St., Boonville, with Rev. William A. Mudge, Pastor of the Boonville United Methodist Church, officiating. Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the spring in Ava Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ava Cemetery Association, C/O Mrs. Josie Williams, Ava, NY 13303, or to the Sunset Nursing Home Resident Activities Fund, 232 Academy St, Boonville, NY 13309.
