Boonville- Marilyn L. (Webster) Wood, 67, of Academy St. formerly of Alder Creek, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2013, at Upstate Medical Center, Syracuse, after a brief illness. She was born in Lyons Falls, on July 24, 1946, a daughter of Richard and Elizabeth Vollmar Webster. Marilyn grew up in Gould Town, before moving to Port Leyden, where she attended school. After that her family moved to Boonville, where she attended Boonville Central High School, later earning her GED. For many years Mrs. Wood lived on Rt. 12 in Alder Creek, later moving to Boonville, where she had resided with her son, William. From 1986, until her retirement in October, 2013, Marilyn was employed as a certified nurse assistant at Sunset Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Boonville. Marilyn enjoyed her garden, watching birds, music and playing her guitar and playing canasta. She is survived by her children, Angela (Tracy) Aldrich, Carrollton, GA, William J. "Bill" Roberts, MAJ Ret. U.S. Army, Boonville, Brian (Amy) Roberts, Boonville, Lisa Roberts, Weirsdale, Fla, and Karen(John) Hazzard, Boonville, her mother, Elizabeth Webster, Woodgate, 18 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; three brothers, Richard (Nona) Webster, Angleton, TX, Raymond "Jimmie" (Nancy) Webster, Lyons Falls, Eric W. Webster, Woodgate; six sisters, Ruth (Ray) McDougall, Lyons Falls, Janet (Steve) Favret, Cape Vincent, Renita (Richard) Hance, Boonville, Claudette (John) Nellenback, Hawkinsville, and Christine Martin, Woodgate. She was predeceased by her father, Richard Webster, and brothers, Stanley Webster, David K. Webster, Sr. on November 30, 2012, and by a sister, Karen Clark. Also surviving are two sisters in law, Sharon Webster, Central Square, and Brenda Webster, Highmarket. Her Funeral will be Friday, at 10:00 A.M. at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville, where Pastor Daniel Tabolt of the Abundant Life Fellowship Church of Boonville, will officiate. Interment will be in Port Leyden Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
