Marilyn Dawn Stiles Amy of Boonville, NY, formerly of Bangor, PA.

Marilyn Amy of Boonville, formerly of Bangor, PA, passed away peacefully at home on March 19, 2025. Born on Aug. 22, 1935, she was a daughter of the late George and Mildred Stiles of Ackermanville, PA.

Marilyn was employed for many years as a seamstress in several garment factories in the Bangor area, before becoming a bridal consultant at the former Sigal’s Bridal Gallery in Easton, PA. She was a 1953 graduate of Bangor (PA) High School.

Marilyn married her high school sweetheart, William, in May 1954. They celebrated their 50th anniversary with friends and family in 2004. In their later years, they enjoyed traveling through Great Britain and Europe. Marilyn was an NFL fan, especially the Kansas City Chiefs.

Surviving are a daughter, Diana (Roger) Sparrow of Boonville; a granddaughter Tara (Shane) Barrett of Murrysville, PA, special niece Kim Stiles of California; two other nieces and a nephew. Marilyn is also survived by her companion of six years, Silvio Tagliamonte of Boonville, and beloved dog Molly.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, William G. Amy in 2014; their son, David W. Amy in 2008; and her brother Donald A. Stiles in 2012.

As per her wishes, there will be no services or calling hours. Arrangements are being handled by the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville. Donations in Marilyn’s memory can be made to Friends of Lewis County Hospice, P.O. Box #266, Lowville, New York 13367.
