Forestport- Marian P. Wheeler, 90, a native and life long resident of Division St., passed away on Friday, April 3, 2015, at Sunset Nursing & Rehabiltiation Center, Boonville, where she had been a resident since 2007. She was born on August 6, 1924, a daugher of Clarence and Alice P. Horton Wheeler, and attended Forestport High School. She was first employed at Dunlop Tire Co. Utica; later for twenty eight years, Marian was employed as a machine operator at Rome Specialty Co. Forestport, retiring in the early 1980s. Marian was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Forestport. She is survived by nieces Sandy (Bill) Miller, and Alice Pierce and a nephew, Robert Pierce, all of Foresport and great nephews and great nieces and great great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Richard Kenneth Wheeler, who died in 1945, while serving in the Army in Germany, during WWII, and by two sisters. Nellie Wheeler Burke, in 1990, and Winifred Pierce, in 1995. Her Funeral will be Tuesday at 4:00 P.M. at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville, with interment later this spring, in Beechwood Cemetery, Forestport. Calling hours will be held from 2:00 pm until the time of the service. Memorial contributions maybe made to Sunset Nursing & Rehabilitation Center Resident Activities Fund, 232 Academy St. Boonville, NY 13309.
