Margaret E Fallon

March 3, 1916 — April 10, 2007

Margaret (Lambert) Fallon, a long time resident of North Lake Road, passed away after a brief illness at Faxton-St. Lukeï¿(TM)s Hospital on Tuesday, April 10, 2007. A native of Elizabeth New Jersey, she was born on March 3, 1916, a daughter of Francis and Mary Quinn Lambert. Her early years were spent in Patterson, N.J. before moving with her family to the Kinkaid Road in Forestport, what is now the Snowbird Lake area. Margaret graduated from Forestport Central High School. During her high school years, and after, Margaret worked as a summertime waitress at Bisby Lodge of the Adirondack League Club. During WWII she was employed as an arms inspector in the machine gun department of Savage Arms Co. in Utica. On June 5, 1943, Margaret was united in marriage with William H. Fallon, Sr. at St. Patrickï¿(TM)s Church, Forestport. After that, the couple settled at their present home on the North Lake Road. Margaret was a very devoted wife and mother to her children. After raising her family, Margaret returned to work as a cafeteria aide at Forestport Central School until her retirement in 1975. Mr. Fallon died on October 27, 1997. Mrs. Fallon was a member of St. Patrickï¿(TM)s Church, Forestport, where she taught religious education for many years. She was also a member of the Catholic Womenï¿(TM)s Club. She is survived by two sons and their wives: William H. Fallon, Jr. and Beth of LaFayette, George F. Fallon and Linda Anne of Boonville; four daughters: Rita Moore of Scotia, Regina Narbone and husband, Louis of Forestport, Agnes Sack and husband, Richard of Utica, and Sylvia Silverstrim and husband, James of Forest, VA. Margaret is also survived by many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a daughter Marguerite and husband Ivan (Pat) Weaver; her sister: Catherine Lambert Denslow; and a nephew: Walter Denslow. The family wishes to thank Dr. Chatania and the staff on 3E of the Allen-Calder Wing of Faxton-St. Lukeï¿(TM)s Hospital for their caring and support. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am Friday at St. Patrickï¿(TM)s Church, Forestport, where Rev. Fr. Donald H. Karlen will officiate. Interment will be in St. Josephï¿(TM)s Cemetery, Boonville. Calling hours are 7 to 9 pm Thursday at the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc., 143 Schuyler St., Boonville. In lieu of flowers, please consider contributions to the Catholic Womenï¿(TM)s Club at St. Patrickï¿(TM)s Church; Faxton-St. Lukeï¿(TM)s Healthcare Foundation; or to the Boonville Ambulance Fund.
