Margaret Blue Kelly, 93, of Middle Road, a native and former resident of Boonville, died on Monday, October 16, 2006. Margaret was born on December 19, 1912, a daughter of Daniel M. and Jennie Helmer Blue, of Boonville, NY. She graduated from Boonville High School with Class of 1928. After that Margaret attended St. Lawrence University, Canton, N.Y., graduating Magna Cum Laude, with the Class of 1932, with a Bachelor of Science Degree, awarded Phi Beta Kappa. In August, 1943, Margaret was united in marriage to George Kelly of Sodus. Mr. Kelly died on March 27, 1977. For nearly twenty years, Mrs. Kelly taught elementary grades at the Sodus School System. In retirment she served served as President of the Sodus Free Library for fifteen years. Margaret was also active in Meals on Wheels, Womenï¿(TM)s Service League at St. Johnï¿(TM)s Episcopal Church, Sodus, NY. She participated in the historical societies of Sodus Point, and Wayne County. While visiting family in Stockbridge, MA., Margaret attended the Stockbridge Congregational Church. She is survived by her daughter, Janet and son in law Richard Gummere, LaPlata, MD., their children, Molly and husband, Ryan Sinclair, George and Daniel and daughter Elizabeth and her husband, James Murray, Stockbridge, MA., and their children, Jessica, and her husband, Homero Toro, Heather and Kathleen. She was predeceased by two sisters, Dorothy Blue Ackerman, and Elizabeth Blue. Margaret will be be misssed by her community, friends and family. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Saturday, October 28, 2006, at 2:00 P.M. at Boonville Cemetery. There are no calling hours, In lieu of flowers, her family has suggested memorial contributions to be made to the Sodus Free Library, 17 Maple Ave., Sodus, N.Y. 14551. Funeral arrangements are in care of Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville, NY.
