Lynn C. Brinkerhoff

March 22, 1978 — October 6, 2008

Constableville - Lynn C. Brinkerhoff, 30, of the Bailey Road, and a former resident of Port Leyden, passed away from complications of heart failure on Monday, October 6, 2008, at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, while surrounded by his loving family and girlfriend. He had been a patient in the hospital since March 2008. He was born in Orlando, FL, on March 22, 1978, a son of Lynn C. and Diane F. Shue Brinkerhoff, Sr. Lynn moved to Port Leyden as a child, receiving his education at the Maranantha Christian Academy, Port Leyden. He was employed at the Carpenter Dairy Farm on Bailey Road, and following that at the Bruce Krug Dairy Farm on the West Road, both near Constableville. He was last employed as a bridge painter for AmStar of Western NY until his illness forced him to retire. Lynn was a Christian. He greatly enjoyed fishing, hunting and the outdoors. He was a member of Silver Mine Hunting Club in the town of Lyonsdale. He enjoyed bow hunting, muzzleloader and rifle hunting, turkey hunting, trapping and snow- shoeing. He was a NASCAR fan. In addition to his parents, Lynn Sr. and Diane of Port Leyden, he is survived by his paternal grandparents, Lawrence and Mabel Brinkerhoff, Lyons Falls; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Rebecca Carpenter and her husband, Ned, of Constableville, Angela Kaniaris and her husband, Steve, of Edgewater, FL; one brother, Mathew Brinkerhoff and Tammy Still of Port Leyden; and his soul mate and love of his life, Kathy Burdick, and his three English mastifs, all of Lyons Falls; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents; Robert and Angeline Shue. His Funeral Service will be Friday at 11:00 A.M. at the Lyons Falls Bible Fellowship Church, Route 12, Lyons Falls, where Pastor Robert Stoudt will officiate. Interment will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Lyons Falls. Calling hours are Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Harbor House of Rochester, Inc. P.O. Box 18268, Rochester, NY 14618. Harbor House is a residence for out-of-town families of loved ones who are hospitalized for transplant procedures at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester.
