Lucy J. Wiedrick

Lucy J. Wiedrick, 86, a former resident of West Main St., the widow of Lyle, passed away on Sunday, January 13, 2008, at Sunset Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Boonville, where she had resided since December, 2005. Lucy was born in Lowville, on November 30, 1921, a daughter of E. Clifford and Alma Evans Jones. Most of her life was spent in Turin, where she graduated from Turin Union High School with the Class of 1940. On August 15, 1942, Lucy was united in marriage with Lyle C. Wiedrick in Utica. Mr. Wiedrick an employee at Kraft Foods of Lowville, died on December 30, 2006. For many years Mrs. Wiedrick was employed as a librarian at the B. Elizabeth Strong Memorial Library of Turin, and for several years she was also employed as a receptionist at Snow Ridge Ski Area of Turin. She was a member of Turin United Methodist Church, where she also taught Sunday school. For many years Mrs. Wiedrick served on the Turin Board of Elections, and was a member of the Turin Civic Club. She loved to read, and was a member of the former Eastern Star of Turin. She is survived by three sons and daughers in law: Norman and Kathy Wiedrick, Pueblo, CO., Thomas and Cynthia Wiedrick, David and Patricia Wiedrick, both of Turin, three daughters and two sons in law: Rosalind Drager, Columbia, MO., Nancy and Theodore Simonds, Turin, Jan and Duane Bush, Wrightstown, WI., thirteen grandchildren, and five great grandchildren, one brother, Richard Jones, Turin. She was predeceased by two sisters: Vivian Cook, and Jane Curtis. Her Funeral Service will be Thursday at 2:00 P.M. at the Turin United Methodist Church, where Rev. Billie Jean Melton, Pastor will officiate. Interment will be in Turin Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday, 6-9 P.M. at the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville. Memorial contributions may be made to Turin United Methodist Church.
