Boonville- Lucille M. Cerro, passed away at her residence, on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, while surrounded by the loving care of her family and hospice. Lucille was born in Canastota, NY on August 4, 1927, the daughter of Rose Pugliano and Angelo Furfaro. She graduated from Canastota High School and worked at St. Joseph's Hospital. She met the love of her life, Armante Cerro at a drug store in Canastota. They married in 1951, moved to Boonville, NY where Armante worked as a Pharmacist at Hess Pharmacy, a pharmacy they later owned where Lucille helped with the business and was Arm's behind the scenes backbone. Lucille had a zeal for life, loved smooth jazz, fashion, dancing, cooking, and animals (especially cats). She shared her love of music with her daughters who often remember her coming home with the latest records to enjoy and dance to. Always impeccably dressed she loved to entertain, and was known for making sure her family and friends were well nourished with plentiful Italian food and drink. Lucille was known for giving her opinion without flinching sometimes followed by a plate of cookies. She was fortunate to enjoy a long and healthy life, was predeceased by her husband of nearly 50 years. She is survived by three daughters, Janice Fiore, Kathleen Cerro (James Dodd), Patricia Cerro-Reehil (Roy Reehil), and grandchildren Stephanie Kurihara, Ethan Reehil and Lily Dodd as well as great-grandchildren, Sora and Skylar Kurihara and two beloved sisters-in-law Jeanne Cerro and Diane Furfaro. She was also pre-deceased by her siblings, Ann Hogan, Francis Furfaro, Vincent Furfaro and Florence Furfaro and several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family would like to extend special thanks to Nascentia health (Christina Maher), Hospice Oneida County, Rosemary Healt and Diane Furfaro. Lucille loved all of God's creatures, and to recognize that contributions can be made to either Wanderer's Rest Humane Association, PO Box 535, Canastota, NY 13032 or Hospice Oneida County, 4277 Middle Settlement Road, New Hartford, NY 13413. Family and friends are invited to attend her funeral Mass which will be celebrated by Rev.
