Boonville- Lucas William Lawrence, 11, passed away in Boonville, on Tuesday, July 24, 2018. Lucas was born in New Hartford, on May 11, 2007, a son of Eric A. and Jennifer L. Kittleman Lawrence. He grew up in Herkimer and Lyons Falls before moving to Academy St. in Boonville. In June, 2018, Lucas completed fifth grade at Adirondack Central School, Boonville, where he was a High Honor Student. Lucas was a bright person who embraced learning of many subjects and was brilliant in the realm of mathematics. In keeping with his interest of many academic subjects, at the conclusion of 5th grade, Lucas was accepted into the Chinese Language study program at the Adirondack Middle School. Lucas loved life and enjoyed a variety of activities including AYSO Soccer, Little League Baseball, participating in Pop Warner Football, fishing with his dad on Black River and riding a four wheeler and snowmobiling at Grandma Lindas home. He was a member of St. Josephs Church, Boonville. In addition to his parents, Eric and Jennifer, of Boonville, Lucas is survived by his sisters, Brianna, Elizabeth, Ashley, all at home, paternal grandparents, Ann and Dale Johnston, Forestport; maternal grandparents, Linda Kittleman, Boonville, Ron Ernst, Constableville; maternal great grandmother, Rosalie Strain, Forestport; paternal great grandmother, Beatrice Lawrence, Herkimer. Also surviving are aunts and uncles, Dale Johnston, Jr. and wife, Chris, Sarah Johnston and Joe Ford, Allen Kittleman and wife, Holly, Michael Gaither and wife, Becky, Gary Kittleman, wife, Carrie, Desirae Sullivan, husband, Jason, Joe Kittleman, Dan Kittleman, Amy Carter Weiler and many great aunts and great uncles and cousins who loved Lucas very dearly. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Ed Kittleman, his paternal great grandfather, William Lawrence and great grandparents, Carl and Katherine Johnston and his maternal great grandfather, Charles Strain and by his special cousin, Nick Lawrence. Funeral Services will be Saturday at 12 Noon at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville, where Rev. Thomas Ward, pastor of St. Josephs Church, Boonville, will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Patricks Cemetery, Forestport. Calling hours are Friday 2-4 & 6-8 P.M., and on Saturday from 10 A.M. until the funeral, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to a scholarship fund to be established for a student furthering their education.
