Lorraine O. Arthur

Lorraine O. Arthur, 77, of Town Line Road, formerly of Cherry St. Lyons Falls, passed away at the home of her son, Lewis, on Saturday, October 21, 2006. Lorraine was born in Moosic, PA., on December 30, 1928, a daughter of Willard and Olive Haines Hoover. She grew up Moosic PA., later moving to Buffalo, where she graduated from South Park H.S. Many years ago, Mrs. Arthur moved to the Lyons Falls area, where she was employed for many years as a bookkeeper at Doyle Hardware, Inc. On Augsut 1, 1953, Lorraine was united in marriage with Lewis W. "Sarg" Arthur in Forest Presbyterain Church. She had attended Forest Presbyterian Church of Lyons Falls. Her survivors include her son and daughter in law; Lewis W. and his wife Alicia Arthur, Lyons Falls, with whom she had resided with for over two years, two grandsons; Levi and Kimberly Arthur, Zachary and his fiance Tasha Honey, all of Constableville three brothers; Donald and Norene Hoover, Cuba, NY, Kenneth and Annie Hoover, Bath, NY., Frank and Phyllis Hoover, Swoyersville, PA., one sister, Frances Benjamin and husband, William. She was predeceased by a sister Amanda Larrabee, by two brothers; Willard Hoover, and Norman Hoover. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Saturday at 1:00 P.M. at Wildwood Cemetery, Lyons Falls, where Pastor Robert Stoudt, pastor of Lyons Falls Bible Baptist Church, will officiate.
