Clinton- Lisa J. Bandych, 38, of Mohawk Valley Apartments of Franklin Ave., passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 6, 2011, at her residence after a long illness. Lisa was born in Syracuse, on May 24, 1973, a daughter of Thomas F. and Sarah Green Bandych. As a child she lived in Rome, before moving with her family to State Rt. 12, Alder Creek, where she lived for many years, graduating from Adirondack Senior High School, Boonville, with the Class of 1993. While in high school, Lisa was the manager of the varsity swim team. Thereafter she attended M.V.C.C., where she was enrolled in the Secretary Administration Program. Later she was employed for Vested Services, and then as a secretary at ACS Accounting Firm, both of Utica. She was a member of St. Patrick's church, Forestport, and served for many years as secretary and coordinator of resident activities at Mohawk Valley Apartments, an assisted living center under the auspices of the Luthern Home of Clinton. In addition to her parents, Thomas and Sarah, of Alder Creek, Lisa is survived by two sisters, Cindy Bandych Kerber and husband, Daniel, Boonville, and Sherry and husband William, "Chip" Lyon, Forestport; three nieces, Stacy, Alison and Kristie, all of Boonville; two nephews, Dylan and Kolby, both Forestport, great nieces and great nephews, aunts, uncles, and her special friend, Shane Armstrong, Clinton. A prayer will be Saturday at 9:00 A.M. at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at St. Patrick's Church, Forestport, where Rev. Sean Patrick O'Brien, Pastor will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Boonville. Calling hours are Thursday 6-8 p.m. and Friday 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
