West Leyden- Lawrence E. Fuller, 90, of Osceola Road, husband of Genevieve, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2014, at Rome Memorial Hospital, after a long illness. Affectionately known as Larry, he was born in Rome, on June 6, 1924, a son of Albert and Lela Alguire Fuller. He completed his education at Boonville High School. For over 50 years, Mr. Fuller was employed as a heavy equipment and automobile mechanic; he possessed a natural genius like mechanical ability to repair engines and motors of all kinds. His last employment was for Gallo Bros. Construction Co. of Taberg, retiring in 1986. In 1947, Larry was married to Marjorie Gagnon, for many years they lived on Webster Hill; later they were divorced. On June 6, 1967, he was married to Ruth E. Royal Lynch. After that the couple lived on Woodgate Drive in Boonville, until 1975, when they moved to his present home near West Leyden. Ruth died on July 6, 1975. On May 27, 1976, Mr. Fuller was married to Genevieve Mroz, in Boonville. This was a blessed union of 38 wonderful years. Mr. Fuller attended the West Leyden Reformed Church and he was a member of Boonville Elks Lodge, # 2158, and the Southern Tug Hill Snowmobile Club. He enjoyed playing pitch and hunting and was an avid fisherman. He was a volunteer timer at the NYS Woodsmen's Field Days and a volunteer at the tractor pull at the Boonville Oneida Co. Fair. In addition to his wife, Genevieve, Larry is survived by his children, Walter (Sharon) Fuller, Turin, Laura Fuller, Merrells, Inlet, SC, Linda (Peter) Breen, Boonville, Lou Anne Sanabria, Ohio, Lyle (Lynn) Fuller, Easton, MD, Marilyn (Edward) Paluck, Constableville, Thomas (Anita) Lynch, Rochester, David (Martha) Lynch, Webster and Alan Lynch, Boonville. He was predeceased by a daughter, Barbara Anne Lynch in 1968 and by a son, Kualoha "Donald" Lynch, in 1972. Also surviving are many grandchildren and great grandchildren; one sister, Bertha June Meyers, New Hartford; two brothers, Norman (Ruby) Fuller, Athens, GA, and Donald (Margie) Fuller, Paragould, AK. He was predeceased by a sister, Helen Benamati and by a brother, Gerald Fuller. His Funeral will be Thursday, January 1, 2015, at 11 A.M. at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville, with interment in the spring in Boonville Cemetery.
