Boonville- Kyle Z. Platt, 26, of State Rt. 294, passed away suddenly on Saturday, August 31, 2019, as the result of an automobile accident in the Town of Florence. Kyle was born in Utica, on March 29, 1993, a son of Keith A. and Anessa Tanner Platt. He grew up on Smith Road, near Hawkinsville, received his education at Adirondack Central School, Boonville, where he graduated with the Class of 2012. While growing up Kyle enjoyed playing little league Baseball, minor league Baseball and participating on the Adirondack Central Jr. Varsity Baseball team. He was also on the Adirondack Varsity Football team and threw the Shotput on the track team. While in high school, Kyle was employed at Nirvana Water Bottling Co., Boonville. Later for a time he lived in Daytona Beach, Florida, where he was employed as a stone mason. After returning to Boonville, for four years until the present time he was employed for his grandfather, Charles Tanner, as a stone mason for C. Tanner Construction Co. West Leyden. Kyle enjoyed hunting and found joy in sharing his memories of a recent cross country trip which he took with a friend. Above all else, Kyle loved his family and his many friends. He possessed a special ability to light up a room and everyone in the room or in his presence whether at work or socializing with his many friends. He was a true people person, who brightened the lives of all he came in contact with. In addition to his parents, Keith and Anessa, Hawkinsville, Kyle is survived by a brother and his girlfriend, Alex and Jade Mason, Ilion; a sister, Kaitlyn Platt, Hawkinsville; his maternal grandparents, Chuck and Kim Tanner, West Leyden; paternal grandfather, Roger Platt, Talcottville; maternal great grandmothers Marlene Tanner and Shirley Tanner, both of West Leyden; a niece, Addlyne and a nephew, Owen. Among his surviving aunts, is his other mother, (aunt) Rhonda Kerber and two uncles; Ben (Darcy) Tanner and Cy Platt and Racheal many cousins and a host of friends. Kyle was predeceased by paternal grandmother, Mary Chase, his maternal great grandfather, Malcolm Tanner and by an aunt, Amy Platt. His Funeral will be Thursday at 11:00 A.M. at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 1434 Schuyler St. Boonville, with interment to follow in Ava Cemetery.
