Constableville- Kimberly M. (Smith) Armstrong, 53, of Meyer Road, wife of Bill, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2023.
Kimberly was born in Lowville, on February 22, 1970, a daughter of Roger A. and Jane Gaylord Smith. She grew up near Constableville, and graduated from South Lewis High School, with the Class of 1988. While in high school, she enjoyed playing softball and volley ball as well as skiing with her family.
In 1996, Kimberly began her employment with the U.S. Postal Service, working at many post offices throughout north central New York, including a supervisory position for several years at the Rome Post Office. Later she was promoted to the position of Postmaster at the Constableville, Lyons Falls and Port Leyden Post Offices, a position which she held at the current time.
On September 30, 2017, Kimberly was united in marriage with William H. Armstrong, at The Montague Inn, Town of Montague.
In years past, Kimberly enjoyed coaching a girl’s Little League softball team in Constableville. She greatly enjoyed being a member of the Wednesday Night Women’s Golf League. at Woodgate Pines Golf Course, Boonville. Her other hobbies included Yoga and creative writing; at the present time she was writing a book for children, while onto writing another book. She also enjoyed camping and canoeing, in the Adirondacks, with her husband, Bill and working on their lawn, raising flowers and spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Bill Armstrong, Kimberly is survived by a son, Connor Ernst, Denver, CO; (son of John D. Ernst, who is predeceased), her father, Roger (Bonnie) Smith, Constableville; mother, Jane (Robert) Barber, Myrtle Beach, SC; brother, Jason Smith, and his daughter, Grace, Constableville; stepson, Kiersten Armstrong, Constableville, step daughter; Kariena Rosati (Armani), Lockport, NY; stepson, Kyle (Nila) Armstrong, Manlius, NY and two grandchildren, Naomi Rosati and Odin Armstrong and her grandmother, Vera Lastowski, Boonville.
Visitation hours are Friday, May 5, 2023, from 1-5 P.M. at Trainor Funeral Home. Inc. 1434 Schuyler St., where a celebration of her life will begin at 5:00 P.M., followed by a prayer service, also at the funeral home. Following, all are invited to the Constableville Fire Hall, for a luncheon and continued sharing of memories of Kimberly. Contributions of food may be taken to the Constableville Fire Hall on Friday, beginning at 3:00 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to Constableville Volunteer Company, P.O.
