Boonville- Kevin B. Phillipp, 68, of Jackson Hill Road, husband of Grace, passed away after a brief illness, on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at University Hospital SUNY Health Science Center, Syracuse.
Kevin was born in Long Branch, New Jersey, where he grew up and received his education, attending Keyport High School. As a young man, he moved to Ava, settling with his family on the Kessler Road. For twenty years Mr. Phillipp was employed as a heavy equipment operator for the Town of Ava Highway Department. In 2012, he moved to the Philippines, where Kevin married Grace Laitan, on October 21, 2013, in Town of Mapandan, Phils. In 2022, the couple moved to their present home near Boonville.
Mr. Phillipp was accomplished in making home repairs and renovations. He greatly enjoyed working on renovating their home on Jackson Hill Road. He also enjoyed deer hunting, watching deer hunting shows and observing deer moving through the wild. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR races.
In addition to his wife, Grace, Kevin is survived by his children, Anthony Michel (Leslie), Marcellus, NY, Melissa Bogacz (Adam), Palm Coast, FL, Nicole Baker (Brandon) Ava, Heather Phillipp, Camden, Joshua Phillipp, Nevada, Carl Laitan, Kyle Phillipp and Kevin Phillipp, Jr., all of Boonville; eleven grandchildren, Colin, Elena, Ian, Liam, Kaitlyn, Michael, Kyra, Chase, Lily, Jack and Leo; two brothers, Gary Phillipp and Keith Phillipp, both of Vermont. He was predeceased by a brother, Wayne Phillipp.
