Keisha Marie Champion

Boonville – Keisha Marie Champion, 33, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, from complications of diabetes.


Keisha was born on October 3, 1989 in New Hartford, and was the daughter of Richard and Marcia Champion Snyder. She received her education at Adirondack Central School, where she enjoyed and was an accomplished writer of poetry. For a time, she was employed as a home care aide for the Resource Center for Independent Living, Utica.


Keisha had quite a passion for nature and a love of the great outdoors. She enjoyed fishing and swimming and just about any outdoor sport. For the past nine years she was employed at a dairy farm in Blossvale, NY, where she worked diligently in all facets of the operation of the farm. Most recently she was a cashier at the Dollar General store in Taberg. She was of the Christian faith and had attended the Boonville Alliance Church.



Besides her parents Richard and Marcia Snyder of Boonville, Keisha is survived by her children Eliana Skjellerup and Damian Steria, her boyfriend Brad Steria, siblings: Leanne (Brad) Tillman, Lake Elsinore, CA, William (Janie) Snyder, Oswego, Edward (Carrie) Champion, Boonville, Sharra (Bryan) Dole, New Hartford, Samuel Champion, Utica, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her grandparents William and Mildred Champion, and Ann Reynolds, as well as her aunts Phyllis McDougall, Kim Sibley, and uncles Maurice and Darryl Champion.


Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 19, at 12:00 Noon at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville, with Rev. David Hedeen, Pastor of Boonville Alliance Church officiating. Interment will follow in Boonville Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the service. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Boonville Alliance Church, 12593 Potato Hill Road, Boonville, NY 13309.
