Kathleen M. Grondin

Boonville- Kathleen M. Grondin, 82. Of Academy St., passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Sunset Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, where she had resided since 2020. 

 Kathleen was born in Hartford, Connecticut, she grew up in New Britain, Connecticut, where she graduated form high school. Later she earned a Bachelor Degree in Theology. For many years she was employed as House Manager for St. Mary’s Church Rectory, in Middletown Connecticut. 

 After her retirement, Kathleen relocated to Jefferson and Lewis Counties, living in Castorland, Lowville and Carthage areas, before moving to Sunset facility in Boonville. 

 Kathleen was a member of St. Stephen’s church, Croghan, NY and she was a member of the Professed Franciscan Sisters. She greatly enjoyed reading and attending church events. 

 She is survived by one son and daughter in law, Gary (Cece) Grondin, Smiths Grove, KY, a daughter and son in law, Lynne Oakes-VanAlstine (Francis), Lyons Falls; grandchildren, Benjamin (Sayuri) Grondin and their children, Adam and Audrey Grondin, Lucas (Kelce) Grondin and their son, Matthew Grondin and by a grandson Jude Oakes and his child, Henry Oakes. She is also survived by her former husband, Gaetan Grondin, residing in Marston, PQ Canada.

 She was predeceased by a son, Marcel Grondin, in 1980. 

 In keeping with her wishes, there will be no calling hours or services. Her arrangements are in care of Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville.
