Rome- Julia A. Reile, age 96, of Rome, a former resident of Joslyn Road, Town of Remsen, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at her residence. Julia was born on October 12, 1916, in Stony Creek, NY, the youngest of 12 children born to the late Orrin and Chloe (Murray) Mosher. Julia married Gaetano (Guy) Reile, on October 14, 1952, in Elkton, MD. They spent 50 loving years together until he passed away on April 29, 2002. For many years they owned and operated the Black River Sports Shop on Rt. 12, in the Town of Remsen, from which they sold an assortment of items ranging from gasoline, hunting and fishing licenses and dry goods. Julia also ran a lunch counter within the business featuring a variety of her delicious homemade pies. Upon retirement from their business, they raised and sold raspberries from their home property on Joslyn Rd. Julia very much enjoyed gardening and took great pleasure caring for her flowers and vegetables. Julia is survived by her daughter, Goldie Lane, with whom she has resided for the past ten years, a son Harry Lane and his wife, Charlene, Purcellville, VA; two granddaughters, Jennifer Combs and her husband, Jeremy and their children, Hope and Paige of Stephens City, VA, Rachel Calhoun and her daughter, Madelyn, Purcellville, VA; a brother, John Mosher, Stoney Creek, NY, age 98, a step-son, John Reile and his wife, Edie, Oriskany Falls, NY; step-grandchildren, Cynthia Pleskach, Watertown, Michael Reile and his wife, Patti, Whitesboro, Susan Jeffers and her husband, Scott, Oriskany Falls, Rebecca LaFlair and her husband, William, Canastota, Deborah Curtis, Clinton; eleven step great grandchildren, Laura and Michael Pleskach, Eric and Jacob Reile, Jeremy and Thomas Jeffers, Zachary and Abigail LaFlair, Wesley, Cody and Garth Curtis, step great great granddaughters, Cassandra and Hayden Curtis; several nieces and nephews; two sisters in law, Celia Reile, Marcy and Evelyn Reile, Herkimer. She was predeceased by two sons; Charles (Buddy) Lane and Orrin (Orrie) Reile, and a stepson; Frank Reile, seven sisters; Florence Mosher, Ethel Mosher, Edith Mosher, Mildred Mosher, Gertrude White, Mabel Baker, Gladys Bush; two brothers, Delbert Mosher and Gilbert Mosher; four sisters in law, Camella Reile, Josephine Lisandrelli, Lucy Reile, Ellyn Reile; three brothers in law, Raymond Reile, Donald Reile and Frank Reile. Her Funeral will be Friday at 1:00 P.M. at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville, where Rev. Paul E. Credel, will officiate, with a calling hour from 12 Noon until the funeral. Interment will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Forestport. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc. 4277 Middle Settlement Road New Hartford, NY 13413.
