Constableville - Joseph R. Sullivan, 52, native of Constableville, and lifelong resident of the West Road, passed away suddenly on September 21, 2013. Joe was born on September 26, 1960 a son of Robert and Charlotte Bourgeois Sullivan. He attended South Lewis High School, graduating with the Class of 1979. He began working with his father as a young child on the Sullivan Family Dairy Farm, which he eventually purchased in 1997. Mr. Sullivan was a gifted and talented mechanic in repairing automobiles and farm machinery. Joe was of the Catholic faith. Besides his dedication to the continued operation of the family farm, which at the present time he was operating with his sons, Bradley and Joseph, Jr, Joe also enjoyed cooking, canning and was the life of the party. He greatly enjoyed dancing and socializing. He is survived by his children: Shannon M. Sullivan (Adam Beyer), Bradley J. Sullivan, and Joseph R. Sullivan, Jr. (Alicia Paluck), all of Constableville, and Shawn G. Sullivan of Boonville; his five grandsons, Owen, Aidan, Kevin, Ethan and Colin; and Timothy Schoff, Constableville, whom he raised and considered to be his 4th son. Also surviving are his brother Dale (Lisa) Sullivan, Boonville, and his sister Veronica E. Sullivan and her significant other, Kermit Luther, Lyons Falls, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, September 27, at 11:00 am, at St. Mary's Church, Constableville, with interment to follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Constableville. Calling hours will be from 1 - 4 pm and 7 - 9 pm, Thursday, at the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Constableville Fire Dept.
