Boonville - Joseph P. Bravo, 71, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 15, 2019. Joseph was born on October 6, 1947, in Rome a son of Joseph P. and Ida C. Ginasati Bravo. He grew up in Rome, where he graduated from Rome Free Academy, with the Class of 1965. Joe went on to study the electrical trade and was employed for 40 years by Jim Walters Electric Co., Rome. In 1981, Joe purchased the West Leyden Hotel, which he owned and operated for 15 years. He was most recently employed with the Electrical Workers Union, working in home construction for G & I Homes, Frankfort. Joe was an avid Harley Davidson Motorcycle Rider. He was also stage manager for the Alex Starr band, where he ran the lighting systems. For several years before moving to Boonville, Joe made his home in West Leyden. Jos is survived by his sisters: Maria Bravo-Uvanni (Ed), Lakeland, FL, and Sara Bravo Nivaggi (John), Rome, his brother James Bravo, nieces and nephews, especially a niece, Carla Hepburn, FL, and his half-brother Paul Bravo of Austin, TX. Joe was predeceased by his parents and sister Paula Bravo. Joes sister, Sara, wishes to express a note of sincere thanks and appreciation to Joes friends who have been very helpful since Joe passed away. In keeping with Joes wishes, there will be no services or calling hours. Arrangements are in care of the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville.
