Jon D. Wawrzyniak

Boonville- Jon D. Wawrzyniak, 38, of Boonville, passed away suddenly on December 5, 2018, at his residence. Jon was also affectionately known as Hon to his family and friends. Jon was born in New Hartford, on September 10, 1980, a son of David V. and Debra Thayer Wawrzyniak. He grew up in Boonville, where he graduated from Adirondack Senior High School, with the Class of 1998. While in high school, he greatly enjoyed playing 1st base on the baseball team and also participating on the football team. He furthered his education attending Mohawk Valley Community College, Utica, where he studied accounting and computer science. For many years Jon was employed for Capri Pizzeria, Boonville. Currently he was employed as manager of the food service department, at Circle K Stores, Boonville. Jon greatly enjoyed listening to all types of music and he was an avid Dallas Cowboys Football Fan and the NY Yankees Baseball team and over the years he greatly enjoyed following Adirondack Central School sporting events. In addition to his parents, Dave and Debra, of Boonville, Jon is survived by a sister, Michelle Jozefczyk and a brother-in-law, Dave, Arvada, Colorado, a brother David J. and his wife, Laura Wawrzyniak, Boonville; two nieces, Paige and Avery Wawrzyniak, his grandmother, Nancy Wawrzyniak, Boonville and aunts, uncles and cousins. Jon was predeceased by his grandparents, Robert (Bob) W. and Elizabeth C. Thayer and grandfather, Vincent C. Wawrzyniak. A memorial service will be Thursday, December 13, 2018, at 7:00 P.M. at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville, where Pastor Jack Ford, of the Boonville United Methodist Church, will officiate.
