~~King George VA_ John Peter Niznik, Jr. 26, of King George County, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2017. John Peter was born in Rochester, New York, on November 30, 1991, a son of John and Citlali Niznik. He moved to Virginia with his family, in 1994, where he attended King George County School System, graduating from King George High School. While in high school, John Peter excelled at swimming and was a member of the swim team. After completing high school, he earned his Associates Degree, in Arts and Science, from Rappahannock Community College; at the present time John Peter was planning on attending Virginia Union University in the spring to become a teacher for special needs children. John obtained the rank of Eagle Scout in Troop 191 in King George, Virginia. While in scouting he was able to participate in many High Adventure Camps, including: Philmont, Florida Sea Base and Northern Tier. He loved the water: swimming, canoeing and rafting and John earned the one mile swim badge 5 times in scouting at Camp Bay Shore. John tried to do his best despite his many challenges. He gave of himself to others, without any hesitation and always greeted people with a warm smile. In his 26 short years, he had many experiences with scouting, family vacations and volunteering in the community. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, John J. Niznik, his maternal grandfather, Ricardo Munoz and his uncle Salvador Munoz. John is survived by his parents, John and Citlali Niznik and sisters; Patricia and Caitlin Niznik; his paternal grandmother and Godmother, Patricia Niznik; maternal grandmother, Rosa Munoz; his uncles; Ronald, (Godfather), Patrick, Timothy, Danny and Edward Niznik and Ricardo Munoz, his aunt Mary Niznik and many cousins. In Johns words, Do good things and good things will happen. Guaranteed. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 9:30 A.M. at Christ Our Hope Parish, St. Josephs Church, Charles St. Boonville, where Rev. Thomas A. Ward, will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Stanislaus Bishop and Martyr Cemetery, Whitesboro. Calling hours are Friday, 5-8 P.M. at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville.
