John Kinel

John Kinel, 86, a long time resident and dairy farmer on the Moose River Road, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2006, at Sunset Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Boonville, where he had resided since November, 2004. John was born on April 1, 1920, at Export, Pa., a son of Stanley and Susan Zych Kinel. He moved to the Boonville area as an infant settling with his family on a farm on the Buck Lake Road. Later he moved to a farm on the Walker Road both near Boonville. Mr. Kinel later purchased the former Ole and Anna Ward farm on Moose River Road. On September 18, 1954, John was united in marriage with Helen Sarnacki at St. Josephï¿(TM)s Church, Boonville. Together the couple operated their dairy farm for many years, retiring in 1985. Mrs. Kinel died on July 16, 2001. Mr. Kinel is survived by a son and daughter in law; Martin Kinel and Cristi, Concord, CA., a daughter and son in law; Marilyn and Bernie Dolan, Boonville, six grandchildren: Edward Kinel, John Kinel, Kristen Kinel, Melissa and husband Neil Larrivey, and their children; Jacob and Mackenzie, John and wife, Lisa Dolan, and their children; Allison, Nicole, Brian, Katie, Kiara, Eric and wife, Diana Dolan, and their daughter, Noa, one brother and sister in law; Walter Kinel, and Beverly, Port Leyden, one sister; Mary Tyska, Lakeport, nieces and nephews. Mr. Kinel was predeceased by brothers, Joseph, Leo, and by a sister, Helen Hannan. Johnï¿(TM)s family extends their heartfelt thanks and sincere appreciation to the administration and staff of the Sunset Nursing Home for the compassionate and loving care given to John during his residence at the nursing home. His Funeral will be Friday at 10:15 A.M. at the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. and at 11:00 A.M. at St. Josephï¿(TM)s Church, both in Boonville, where Rev. Fr. Donald H. Karlen, pastor will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in St. Josephï¿(TM)s Cemetery, Boonville. Calling hours are Thursday 2-5 P.M. at the funeral home.
