Jennifer Lynn Payne, 35, formerly of James St., and more recently a resident at Stonehedge Skilled Nursing Facility, Rome, passed away on Friday, January 25, 2008, at the facility. Jennifer had been ill with a rare form of Multiple Sclerosis. She was born on October 19, 1972, in Quincy, MA., a daughter of Peter D. Payne, and the late Linda Ann O'Brien Payne, moving to Constableville with her family in 1973. She attended Constableville Elementary School, and graduated from South Lewis High School with the Class of 1991. Thereafter, Jennifer attended and graduated from Mohawk Valley Community College, Utica, receiving an associate's degree in nursing. Her first employment was as a LPN at Eden Park Nursing Home, Utica, and then she lived in the Dallas-Fort Worth area of Texas, where she was employed in a hospital. After that she returned to this area, living in Blossvale. Jennifer is survived by two sons: Gage Emerson, and Keyra Melinda, both of Blossvale, her father, Peter, of Constableville, three sisters: Donna M. Foley, and husband, Blossvale, where she had made her home before entering the nursing home, Michelle Payne, Clinton, Merideth L. Payne, Constableville, and one brother; Daniel P. Payne, Blossvale. She was predeceased by her mother, Linda, in August, 1998, and by an infant brother, James Ralston Payne in 1980. In keeping with Jennifer's wishes there will be no calling hours or funeral services. A private interment will be in the spring in Rural Cemetery, Constableville. Arrangements are entrusted to Trainor Funeral Home, Inc., Boonville, NY.
