Boonville - Jeffrey A. Gamache, 66, of Reed Lane, passed away unexpectedly on August 20, 2013. Born in New Hartford, on October 12, 1946, he was the son of Archille and Helen Toussant Gamache. Jeff grew up and attended school in New York Mills. As a child he enjoyed spending summers at the family's camp on Reed Lane, which is where he has permanently resided for the past 30 years. Beginning in his teens, Jeff worked with his father delivering Thomas English Muffins. After graduating from high school he purchased his father's route, and for the past 49 years has delivered baked goods accross Central New York. His route covered the cities of Oneida, Rome, and Utica; as well as the villages of Boonville, Old Forge, and all points in between. Jeff was united in marriage with Dawn Liddle on April 14, 1984 at the Boonville United Methodist Church. Mrs. Gamache passed away on August 24, 1993. A marriage to Maureen Major ended in divorce. Jeff will be remembered by many as a classic car enthusiast, and attended many car shows. Jeff also enjoyed taking his family to Keewaydin State Park to enjoy a day of boating on the St. Lawrence River. Jeff is survived by his two daughters: Christina and Jaquelyn Gamache, and by his son: Alexander Major. Also surviving are his mother-in-law: June Liddle, his brothers-in-law: Craig Liddle and Dale Liddle; and his ex-wife: Maureen Major. Besides his wife Dawn, he was also predeceased by his parents. Funeral Services will be held privately on Monday, August 26, at 10:00 am, at the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc., 143 Schuyler St. Boonville. Interment will follow in Boonville Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday, 4-7 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Oneida-Herkimer Branch Office, 100 Lomond Place, Utica, New York 13502.
