Oriskany Falls- Jason M. Swancott, 54, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2016. Jason was born in Utica, on September 22, 1961, a son of Jack and Jane Jenks Swancott. He grew up in Boonville, where he graduated from Adirondack Central School, with the Class of 1980. On July 24, 1980, Jason entered the U.S. Army, serving his country stateside and in Germany until his honorable discharge at Ft. Dix, NJ, on July 21, 1984. He was awarded Expert, M-16 Sharpshooter and Hand Grenade, the Good Conduct Medal, Army Service Ribbon and an Overseas Service Ribbon. In 1981, he was married to Susan Krambuhl; later the couple was divorced. After his military service, for many years he was employed for various swimming pool companies, later opening his own swimming pool business. For the past 14 years, until the present time, Jason was employed for HP Hood Dairy Products Co. of Vernon. On October 26, 2004, Jason married Denise Vezina. Jason was will be fondly remembered as a person who possessed brilliant skills and talent in smoking meats and fish and he also was very skilled at constructing food smokers. He greatly enjoyed and was very accomplished at cooking and excelled in working with his hands in building construction and repairs. Jason greatly loved his children, parents and his brother and sister. He is survived by three sons, Trinity (Emily) and their son, Anderson, Mason (Randi) and their children, Baron and Tatum and Aaron and his fianc Kristine; his parents, Jack and Jane Swancott, Boonville; one brother and sister in law, Daniel (Sarah) Swancott, Boonville; and a sister and brother in law, Crystal (Jim) Ringwald; a step daughter, Amanda (David) Braden and their children and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Funeral Services will be private and the convenience of his family at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice. All are invited to attend a remembrance of Jason's life on Thursday at beginning at 5 P.M. at the pavilion in back of the Boonville Elks Lodge on State Rt. 12 in Boonville. Contributions of food may be brought to the Pavilion in back of the Elks Lodge on Thursday from 3:00 P.M. on.
