Janice L. Klossner

Constableville - Janice (Markham) Klossner, 85, a long time resident of High St., wife of John, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2008, at Sunset Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Boonville, where she had resided since May of 2006. She was born in Turin on April 29, 1923, a daughter of Ernest L. and Evelyn Wasmuth Markham. Janice graduated from Constableville Central School with the Class of 1941. On October 30, 1943, she was united in marriage with John F. Klossner at the Turin United Methodist Church. Thereafter the couple owned and operated the Klossner Homestead Farm on High Market Road near Constableville, until they retired in 1984, and moved to their home on High St. Mrs. Klossner was a long time member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Constableville, where she was an active member of the church Ladies Guild, and she taught church school for many years. In addition to her husband, and faith, she greatly loved and cared for her family. She found great pleasure in cooking, canning and providing for her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved raising flowers. In addition to her husband, Janice is survived by four sons, Robert J. Klossner, (Jane) Mimbers, New Mexico, Alan F. (Nancy) Constableville, Ronald F. (Susan B.) Green Bay, WI., John E .(Jeanie) North Syracuse, seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, one brother, Theodore Markham, (Peg) Bath, NY., predeceased by three sisters, Ernestine O'Brien, Marion Dewan, Shirley Markham, three brothers, Burton Markham, Willis Markham, and Robert Markham. Her Funeral will be Thursday, July 31, at 2:00 P.M. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Constableville, where Rev. Linda Logan, rector will celebrate a Requiem Eucharist. Interment will follow in Rural Cemetery, Constableville. Calling hours are Wednesday 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, or to Constableville Fire Dept.
