Jamie A. Slone Boonville - Jamie A. Slone unexpectedly passed away on April 4, 2020 surrounded by nature where he always found much serenity. Jamie was born in Crescent City, California on October 20, 1974 to Lori (Tracy) and Douglas Slone. In 1991 Jamie moved to Ava, NY with his family, while his father Douglas was stationed at Griffis Air Force Base in Rome, NY. Jamie then completed his high school education at Adirondack Central School, graduating with the class of 1992. Directly after high school Jamie enlisted with the United States Marine Corps where he served 4 years as a digital communications specialist, as well as a forward observer for field artillery. In October 2000 Jamie was united in marriage to Brandy Golden, the couple later divorced. On August 30, 2008 Jamie was united in marriage to Heather Axtell Slone. Jamie's greatest joys in life included many adventures with beloved family such as traveling, hiking, kayaking, camping, range shooting, and swimming at 3 bridges in Lyonsdale, NY. In recent years Jamie has also found a love for his Harley Davidson on long rides with his wife and close friends. Jamie will forever be remembered for his deep and loving devotion for his wife and 7 children, his willingness to help anyone in need without hesitation, his sarcastic smirk, unique sense of humor and his enormous heart. Jamie is survived by his wife Heather (Axtell) Slone, his 7 children: Aiden (Kaydenn) Kessler, Watertown, Sierra Slone (Nicholas Pfendler), Forestport, Vanessa Slone, Lucas Rogers-Slone, Daniel (Kenny) Rogers-Slone, Annabelle Slone, and Alexander Slone, all of Boonville. Brothers-in-law: Matthew (Tiffany) Axtell, Jason Axtell (Sara Tittle), Travis (Heather) Axtell, sister-in-law: Shena (James) Cummings, his parents Lori and Douglas Slone, and sisters Mikayla (Mike) and Virginia Slone, as well as his father and mother-in-law: Paul (Judy) Axtell. Also surviving is his former wife, (the mother of Sierra, Vanessa, Dan & Lucas) and close friend Brandy Golden (T.J. Weiler), Naomi (Nonny) Parrish along with many nephews and nieces and friends whome he loved as family. In keeping with his wishes there will be no services. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. His arrangements are in care of the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc.
