Port Leyden - James G. Redner, 63, of Wildcat Road went home to be with his Lord and Savior on December 19, 2009. James was born on July 11, 1946 in Boonville, the son of the late James Redner, Sr., stepfather Raymond and mother Evelyn "Peg" Redner. James graduated from Boonville Central School with the Class of 1961, and had also attended BOCES for auto mechanics. Jim had worked for Broadway Brakes, Associated Truck Sales, Hughes Motors and Marmon Trucking and Sanitation before becoming self-employed, owning and operating Redner Trucking. In June of 1979 Jim married Charlotte Olender Myers, a blessed union of over 30 years. He was a member of Word Bible Fellowship in Barneveld, NY and prior to that had served as deacon at First Baptist Church in Boonville. Jim was a member of the Boonville Chapter AARP and Port Leyden Seniors. Jim is survived by a sister, Ruby Chalmers and her husband, Rufus of Adams, and their daughters Andrea and Gail; and stepchildren Cynthia-Rae Widrick and her husband, Mark of New Market, MD, Millicent Mish of Utica, Craig Myers and his wife, Grace of Rome, and Claudia LaBrecque and her husband, Joseph of Keene, NH; step grandchildren Dr. Sheridan Mish and his wife, Irene of Canastota, Emerson Mish and Aaron Mish of Utica, and Heather (LaBrecque) Milanesi and her husband, Jason of Keene, NH, Jessica (LaBrecque) Grant and her husband, Brian of Cranston, RI, and Joshua, Jacob and Rebekah-Anne LaBrecque, all of Keene, NH; and step great-grandchildren Alison, Andrew and Autumn Mish of Canastota. Jim was predeceased by a son-in-law, Andrew Mish, Andrew and Millicent's infant son, Baby Mish, and a step granddaughter, Mellisa Myers. A memorial service for family and friends will be held on Sunday, December 27 at 3:00 p.m. at Word Bible Fellowship Church, Mappa Avenue in Barneveld, where Pastor David Corcoran will officiate. There are no public calling hours. Interment in the spring will be in Beechwood Cemetery in Forestport. Memorial contributions may be made to Port Leyden Fire Company. Funeral arrangements are in care of Trainor Funeral Home, Inc., 143 Schuyler Street, Boonville.
