James Francis Cormier

James Francis Cormier, 77, a long time resident of Elm St., and most recently a resident at the Weber Adult Home of Port Leyden, passed away on Thursday, May 31, 2007, in Port Leyden. He was born in Port Leyden on March 27, 1930, a son of Jarvis Joseph and Mary Ellen McHale Cormier. A life long resident of Port Leyden, he was educated in Port Leyden, and at Boonville High School. Mr. Cormier served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict, and he was honorably discharged from the Air Force in 1952. Mr. Cormier was a member of St. Martinï¿(TM)s Church Port Leyden. He is survived by one sister Mrs. Evelyn Kotary and her husband, Richard, of Lowville, and several nieces and nephews. A brother Joseph E. Cormier died on March 1, 2003. His Funeral will be Monday at 10:15 A.M. at the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville, and at 11:00 A.M. at St. Martinï¿(TM)s Church, Port Leyden, where Rev. Stephen Gratto, pastor will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with military rites will follow on Calvary Cemetery, Port Leyden. Calling hours are Sunday 1-6 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Martinï¿(TM)s Church, Port Leyden.
