Boonville – James Christopher Moonan, 63, of Ann Street, passed away Monday, June 17, 2024 at his home.
Affectionately known as Jim, Jimmy or Chuck, Jim was born on September 25, 1960, in Constableville, New York, the youngest son of John L. and Evelyn McGee Moonan. Jim grew up in Boonville and graduated from Adirondack Central School. In his younger years, he was employed at his parents' store, Jack’s Footwear and Clothing, which became Dollar City in Boonville, New York. Later he became a property owner and property manager.
Jim will be remembered for his loving kindness to others and his appreciation for the little things in life and the beauty of nature all around.
Jim is survived by his mother, Evelyn of Boonville, his brother and best buddy, William of Rome, his brother John (Mary Jo) of Webster, New York, nieces Cara (Sean) and Jenna, nephew John (Nicole), and longtime companion Lucinda (Cindy) Bell. He is predeceased by his father John L. Moonan on December 8, 1965, and his brother Herbert Moonan on July 10, 2023.
In appreciation for their services, memorial contributions may be directed to the Boonville Fire Department and Ambulance at P.O. Box 164, Boonville, NY 13309.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 1:30 PM at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc., 143 Schuyler Street, Boonville. Calling hours will be from 11:30 AM until 1:30 PM. Interment will be held privately in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Boonville.
