She was also a member of Country Cousin Red Hat Society. Irma will be fondly remembered along with her husband, Percy, who made their home in Port Leyden as "The Community Home to go to," where everyone was welcomed with open arms. Irma and Percy greatly enjoyed doing for others and their large displays of Christmas lights which graced their lawn every year. She was an avid fan of Elvis Presley and especially of the Christmas songs performed by Elvis. Christmastime was Irma's favorite time of the year. For many years she enjoyed bowling.
