Lyons Falls- Irma L. (Kraeger) Post, 81, a long time resident of Shibley Road, widow of Bernard J., passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2011, at Mercy of Northern New York, Watertown, where she had been a resident since August, 2001. Irma was born in Constableville, on December 13, 1929, a daughter of Herman J. and Grace Greene Kraeger. She grew up on the Kraeger homestead farm on Rt. 12, near Port Leyden, graduating from Port Leyden High School. After that she attended and graduated from Utica Business School. For a time she was employed at Ski Haven Lodge in Turin. On May 29, 1965, Irma was united in marriage with Bernard J. Post, at St. Martinï¿(TM)s Church, Port Leyden. Afterwards the couple settled on Shibley Road near Lyons Falls, where they operated a dairy farm with Bernardï¿(TM)s brother, Gordon Post. Mr. Post, a former Superintendent of highways for the Town of Lyonsdale, passed away on February 10, 2004. She is survived by one son and daughter in law, Ronald B. and Genevieve Post, Lyons Falls, one daughter and son in law, Darlene and Randy Baslow, Lyons Falls, two grandchildren, Matthew Baslow, and Kelsie Baslow, one brother, Rev. David Kraeger, Wind Thurst, TX, two sisters and one brother in law, Janice and Jay Pastor, Cincinnati, OH, and Ms. Debra Kraeger, Ilion. She was predeceased by three brothers, James, Richard, and Ronald, who all died as infants. A prayer service will be on Thursday at 12 Noon at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville, and at 1:00 P.M. at St. Martinï¿(TM)s Church, Port Leyden, where Rev. Philip T. Allen, will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Port Leyden. Visitation hours are Thursday from 10:00 AM until 12 Noon at the funeral home.
