Port Leyden ï¿" Guy F. Farr, 66, of North Pearl Street, husband of Beverly Hunkins Farr, passed away Friday, January 20, 2006, at Lewis County General Hospital. Guy was born February 24, 1939 in Lyons Falls, a son of Lewis Z. and Anna M. Congdon Boyce Farr. On June 16, 1979 he was united in marriage with Beverly J. Hunkins at the Christian Fellowship Church, Lyons Falls. He was a lifelong area resident and for most of his working career he was self-employed as a logger and carpenter. Guy was a Shepard in Godï¿(TM)s Family Church of Fellowship and Outreach, a home church in Port Leyden, for six and a half years. He loved gardening, hunting, fishing, and four-wheeling. In addition to his wife, Beverly, Guy is survived by two sons: Tracy and his wife Wendy Hand of Port Leyden, Trevor and his wife Beth Hand of Port Leyden, three daughters: Tamara Davidson of New Hartford, Mrs. Rod (Trina) Powell of Georgia, and Mrs. Marty (Tarolyn) Conrad of North Carolina; nineteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; one brother: Ronald and wife Nancy Farr of Lyons Falls; one sister: Mrs. Stuart (Janet) Bourgeois of Boonville; a sister-in-law: Thelma D. Farr of Constableville; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Tom J. Hand on June 7, 2001; a brother, Richard L. Farr on April 4, 2002; and a nephew, Randy L. Farr on January 11, 2004. The funeral service for Mr. Farr will be at 11:00 am Tuesday at the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc., 143 Schuyler St., Boonville, with Rev. William A. Mudge, Pastor of the Boonville United Methodist Church, and Rev. Robert E. Stoudt, Pastor of the Lyons Falls Bible Fellowship Church, officiating. Interment will be in the spring in Turin Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 6 to 9 pm Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Port Leyden Fire Dept. Ambulance Fund, Port Leyden, NY 13433.
