Lyons Falls- Gordon L. Rogers, 59, of High Falls Apartements, on Cherry St. passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2011, at the home of his nephew, Adam Rogers, on the East Ava Road, Town of Ava. He was born in the Town of Lyonsdale, on March 29, 1952, a son of Alton and Norah Greene Rogers. Gordon attended school in Port Leyden. For many years until becoming disabled in 1994, Mr. Rogers was employed at oil pipe lines throughout the United States. Gordon loved fishing, hunting, camping and being in the outdoor He is survived by five children: Peggy Happy, Turin, Polly Rogers, Bobbie Jo Roske, Gordon L. Rogers, Jr., and David Rogers, all of Cottonwood, AZ; five grandchildren, Andrew Kohl, MiKayla Happy, Samuel Knuze, Michael Knuze, and Odin Rogers, five brothers, one sister, many nieces nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, and by a brother Freddy. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday from 5-7 P.M. at the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville, where services will be held Friday at 7:00 P.M. Relatives and friends are also invited to attend a celebration of life party at the home of his daughter, Peggy, on the Snugsboro Rd. Turin.
