Constableville - Gerald F. Millard, 61, of the West Road, passed away Thursday, July 29 at his home, while surrounded by his loving family. Jerry was born on October 26, 1948, a son of Theodore and Mildred (Gilbert) Millard. He attended South Lewis High School and graduated with the Class of 1968. Following graduation, he joined his parents in the ownership and operation of the White River Valley Farms located on the West Road. Jerry was united in marriage with Rebecca Putney on June 24, 1972 in Boonville. His love for dairy farming was second only to his love for his family. He was a devoted and caring husband, father and grandfather. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons, Gerald F. Millard, Jr. and his wife, Tracy, and John T. Millard and his wife, Carrie, all of Constableville, James R. Millard and his wife, Sarah, of Turin, and Joshua C. Millard and his wife, Melissa Williams-Millard of Constableville; two daughters, Jennifer R. Millard-Dailey and her husband, Steven Dailey of Turin, and Julie M. Strobel and her husband, Scott of Boonville; a brother, David Millard and his wife, Sue of Port Leyden; three sisters, Linda Millard of Turin, Carol Hotchkiss and her husband, Dave of Lowville, and Elizabeth Krop and her husband, Bo of Turin; eleven grandchildren, Michayla, Cory, and Olivia Millard and Anna Millard, all of Constableville, Kendyle Gates-Millard of Turin, Emily and Joshua, Jr. of Constableville, Kyle, Marc and Lily Dailey of Turin, and Christopher Strobel of Boonville; and his mother-in-law, Florence Putney of Boonville. His funeral will be Monday, August 2, at 2:00 p.m at the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St, Boonville, NY, with Dan Tabolt, pastor of the Abundant Life Fellowship Church officiating. Interment will follow in Martinsburg Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
