Boonville - George H. Mani, 79, of Lewis Road, Brantingham Lake, and formerly of Snell Road, New Bremen, passed away on Monday, September 21, 2009 at Lewis County General Hospital in Lowville. George was born in the town of Ava on February 2, 1930, to David and Anna Berger Mani. He graduated from Boonville Central School with the Class of 1947, and served his country in the United States Navy from 1949 until his honorable discharge in 1950. On June 25, 1949, he was united in marriage with June Traxel in Las Vegas, NV. The couple made their home in Sidney, NY. For thirty-two years Mr. Mani was employed by the Bendix Co. in Sidney, retiring in 1982 as a quality control supervisor in the manufacture of aircraft parts. Mr. Mani was a life member of Sidney Elks Lodge #2175. In addition to his wife of 60 years, he is survived by a sister, Wilhelmina Radell of Frenchville; three nieces, two nephews, two grandnieces and two grandnephews. In keeping with his wishes there will be no calling hours or services. His cremains will be interred in Evergreen Cemetery in Stokes, NY. His arrangements are entrusted to Trainor Funeral Home, Inc., 143 Schuyler Street. Boonville.
